RNP in Gasabo District arrested a man called Niyomwungeri suspecting him to have killed his wife using a machete .Report says that the spouses were in constant troubles for material wealthy and land properties. This deadly scandal happened in Gisagara Cell,Gikomero Sector, in Gasabo District.
The Izuba Rirashe reports that during the time when the man wanted to kill his wife ,an eyewitness ,trying to rescue the wife but was wounded to the arm by machete.
Niyomwungeri managed to flee to hide but later on he reported himself to a nearby police station.
According to the RNP Spokesperson in Kigali city,the killing materialized around 7 h00 pm, the time during which Niyomwungeri beheaded her wife’s neck using a machete until she bleeds to death.
Police says that quarrels on material property is root for the killing.
Local inhabitants say that normally the husband was very harsh towards his wife especially in matters relating to the use of banana plantation productions.
The husband mismanaged the family’s properties and every time that the wife advised him on how this can be avoided effectively the husband was very angry.
The wife was killed after coming from voting during the yesterday’s elections. Niyomwungeri will be passing the rest of his life in prison once proven guilty.
