As the court hearing  about the case of singer Kizito and his-accused continues  in Kibagabaga, the Kizito defenders urged the court to release him because what the persecution accuses him to have committed  as treason , was not such a crime but mere utterances  according which  he did not the bad  intention.

Even if Kizito has uttered such the words he pleaded for, the persecution has called them more hardly than the words themselves, defenders said.

According to them these words are not legally harmful unless they are uttered in the public circumstances. Therefore the defense urged the court to release Kizito due to that.

However Kizito himself accepted the same charges as he did previously in the court, adding that he had no bad intentions in uttering those words and committed the crimes he is accused of.

For him the fact that he was heading peace building projects and actions across the country is one of the tangible facts proving that he had no harmful intentions in uttering the words the persecution accuses him.

The defender of Kizito urged the court to separate the case of Kizito from the rest of his co-accused because others actively collaborated with FDLR through throwing grenades in the streets and holding meetings with FDLR officials

Kizito promised the court that his commitment to do more good initiatives after being released.

The co-accused people with Kizito are: Cassien Ntamuhanga,Kizito Mihigo, Cassien Ntamuhanga, Dukuzumuremyi Jean Paul and Niyibizi Agnes.

Cassien Ntamuhanga accepted some of the charges, urging the court for the forgiveness.

He said that some of the FDLR officials urged him to search for the means and ways to kill some of national officials in order to revenge the late Patrick Karegeya who was killed in South Africa last year.

He told the court that he did not appreate the Ndi Umunyarwanda program initiated by Bamporiki and started to hunt him in the name of RNC.

He promised the court that he cannot flee the nation as he has a family that needs his support.

Dukuzumuremyi Jean Paul said that he was given more training in the use of the grenades and the money to use in his business but he invested the money in a more beneficial business which could help him to flee afterwards.

I was not motivated to throw the grenades in the Kigali city or elsewhere Dukuzumuremyi told the court.

Niziyibizi Agnes told the court that she was only in charge of collecting money and manages it, without any harmful intention.

Concerning the allegations according which she went in DRC to meet with the FDLR, she refuted the accusations, saying that she went there to meet with her husband and ask him for food supplies to the baby.
