Guy Rurangayire who is the chief department of National teams in the Ministry of Sports and Culture has told Umuseke that the former Amavubi National Team manager Bonny Mugabe is no longer its manager of disciplinary reasons. He thereafter, declined to provide more details on the issue.
Bonny Mugabe was recently cited by media as to have harrassed Rwandan international football players including Quentin Rushenguziminega, Salomon Nirisarike and Uzamukunda Elias Baby after the match between Rwanda and Mauritius that Amavubi has lost.
The harassing words he is reported to have uttered were to minimize the abilities of the above players to win more scores after being defeated by the Mauritius.
The Amavubi senior management investigated on these allegations and have found them relevant thus kicking out Mugabe Bonny.
He is also said to have hindered the international players highlighted above from acquired their allowances and this impacted on the players psychology in the matches that followed namely between Amavubi with Mozambican and Senegalese teams.
