In honor of this year’s International Women’s Day, Airtel has kicked off a campaign to celebrate and reward women change-makers in society.

The campaign will run until March 7, 2015 and will require participants to send a story about a woman who has done tremendous work to empower and impact her society. The story should be in not more than 300 words and should start with the tag line; I’m going ALL IN FOR HER because…

Also participants are advised to highlight more about her projects or efforts in ensuring a better tomorrow, to share a photo of her and her projects or advocacy, links to her sorties will be an added advantage.

The story will be verified and uploaded on the Airtel Rwanda Facebook page and twitter handles. The photo with the most likes, shares, retweets and favorites will win and Airtel Rwanda will support the top three most engaging posts.

Commenting on the initiative, Airtel Rwanda Managing Director, Mr. Teddy Bhullar said, “Women remain major players in changing our society. We would like to celebrate them through this campaign and also support their projects through our staff volunteer program and sustainable initiatives.”
He added, “We at Airtel Rwanda recognize that women pay an irreplaceable role in society. This is to celebrate women’s achievements, celebrate womanhood and pay tribute to the indomitable spirit of women.”
